Kathmandu - 4 Nights

Daywise Detailed Itinerary

On landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet a Yatra representative and drive to the hotel.
Kathmandu – the capital city of Nepal – is a treasure chest of architectural marvels, informative museums and revered religious sites. Its location between the Shivalik and the Great Himalayan Ranges, and its moderate altitude bestows it with a pleasant weather pattern for most of the year.
After check-in at the hotel, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and then stay overnight.

Post a scrumptious breakfast, embark on an extensive sightseeing tour of this culturally rich city. Begin by travelling through Kathmandu, admiring its architecture and if possible, interacting with the locals. Thereafter, explore Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. Boudhanath is a giant, almost-spherical stupa, located in the north-western part of the city. There are various myths about its origin, and it is widely believed that it was constructed sometime after the death of Lord Buddha. The whole structure consists of a three-stepped 16-sided platform and a white dome atop it, crowned by a small golden pyramid.
Pashupatinath, one of the most visited temples of Lord Shiva in Nepal, is situated on the banks of the river Bagmati. It is said that Lord Shiva came here in the guise of a deer and lost an antler during a fight with the demigods. With time, this antler came to be worshiped as a Shiva Linga – the most prominent representation of the deity.
Following this incredible spiritual excursion, return to the hotel and take rest.

Post a scrumptious breakfast, embark on an extensive sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath & Ktm Durbar Sqaure. Swayambhunath – translating into one which is self-created – is a Buddhist temple, associated with the deity, Manjusri. The stupa-style shrine is located amidst lush vegetation and houses statues of religious figures like Vairochana, Akshobhya, Lord Buddha, Amitabha and Amoghsiddhi. Begin by exploring the Durbar Square, which is a masterpiece that encompasses palaces, courtyards and temples built during the Malla period. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following this incredible spiritual excursion, return to the hotel and take rest.

Following a tasty breakfast, head to Bhaktapur & Nagarkot . Nagarkot is a scenic hill station, located at a height of around 7200 feet from the sea level. It is known for providing breathtaking views of Mount Everest and other high peaks of the Himalayas. At several instances, the Kathmandu Valley below is enveloped in clouds and the scene looks enchanting. Following this incredible excursion, return to the hotel and take rest.

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel. Drive straight to the airport and board a flight back home.
